The teacher will provide targeted reading instruction, use assessment data to guide instruction, collaborate with classroom teachers, differentiate for diverse learners, and contribute to a positive school culture focused on literacy growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold New York State certification as Reading Teacher or Literacy.
• Must hold New York State Childhood Education certification (Grades 1-6) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted reading instruction and intervention to elementary students based on individual learning needs.
• Use assessment information to plan instruction and determine next steps.
• Monitor student growth and communicate progress with families and staff.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support students' reading development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet a range of learning needs.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and ongoing literacy growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention services.
