Provide targeted reading instruction and interventions for elementary students, aligning with NYS requirements. Collaborate with teachers, monitor progress, and stay current with effective literacy practices to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Certified Reading Teacher or Literacy specialist per NYS requirements.
• Experience delivering targeted reading interventions in elementary settings.
• Ability to analyze student progress data to guide instruction.
• Strong communication with families and collaboration with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted reading instruction and interventions based on student needs.
• Use evidence-based literacy practices to develop phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
• Plan instruction using assessment data and determine next steps.
• Monitor progress and communicate with teachers, families, and staff.
