Job summary

Playworks Site Specialists support two elementary schools in Lawrence, MA, delivering play-based programming, recess sessions, and class games to build positive school culture. You will facilitate Junior Coach leadership and train staff to sustain programs across school days.

Qualifications

• Proven organizational skills in planning and delivering timely programs and notes.
• Extensive knowledge of youth development principles and practices.
• At least 2 years of experience working with groups of children.
• Experience facilitating trainings for adults and collaborating with staff.
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external partners.
• Experience engaging with diverse communities and school teams.
• Familiarity with Office tools, Google Drive, and virtual meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement play-based programming during recess and in-class sessions.
• Lead structured class games and Junior Coach leadership activities.
• Coordinate schedules, evaluations, and staff trainings.
• Represent Playworks professionally with school staff and families.
• Support program delivery at two elementary schools and regional partners.
