Job summary

Playworks is seeking a Site Specialist to bring healthy play to two elementary schools in the Boston/Lawrence area. You will lead recess and class game sessions, teach conflict resolution, and foster an inclusive, active environment for students and staff.

You will coordinate schedules, train and mentor Junior Coaches, and collaborate with school communities to support student belonging and positive school culture throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Proven organizational skills in planning and delivering timely program materials and reports.
• Extensive knowledge of youth development principles and practices.
• At least 2 years of direct experience working with groups of children.
• Experience facilitating trainings for adults.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement play-based programming at two elementary schools.
• Lead engaging recess and class game sessions and model positive behavior.
• Mentor Junior Coaches and support leadership development.
• Coordinate program schedules and trainings with school staff.
