Job summary

Northampton Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Paraeducator for Leeds Elementary School in Leeds, Massachusetts. This full-time position supports instructional staff, assists with classroom management, and helps students with learning activities during a 32.5-hour week schedule, Monday through Friday 7:25 a.m.

to 2:25 p.m. Starting immediately for the 2026-2027 school year, the role offers a meaningful, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates’ degree or 48 college credits preferred.
• Professional development as required.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional personnel in instructional assignments and classroom management.
• Assist individual and small groups of students in instructional and social tasks.
• Assist with personal care and daily living skills as needed.
• Provide general supervision of students in and out of the building.
• Maintain records for assigned tasks.
• Monitor student work for groups or individuals.
• Perform clerical duties related to the assignment.
