Job summary

Northampton Public Schools’ Leeds Elementary School in Leeds, Massachusetts is seeking a Special Education Teacher (1) for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is full-time, 35 hours per week, with a 7:50 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

schedule from Monday to Friday. MA DESE Moderate Disabilities PK-8 certification is required and official transcripts are needed for candidacy. Applicants must have or obtain necessary background checks (CORI and SAFIS).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Teach Special Education across multiple categories (Emotional Disabled, Learning Disabled, Mild/Moderate Disabilities) per Leeds Elementary School needs.
  • Follow daily schedule: 7:50 a.m. – 2:15 p.m., Monday–Friday.
  • Participate in cooperative planning and compliance with district standards.

MA DESE License Certification in Moderate Disabilities PK-8 is required.

Official University/College Transcripts are required.

Teacher Unit A Salary Scale based on experience and degree.
