Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Elementary Music Teacher to bring the classical curriculum to life. You will teach assigned music classes using the Great Hearts framework, design engaging lessons, and foster a classroom that celebrates truth, goodness, and beauty.

A Bachelor’s or higher degree is required for this lead teaching role; certification is not required for general education and all majors are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.

Position Title: Elementary Music Teacher

Location: Archway Lincoln Classical Academy (2250 S Gilbert Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286)

Reports To: Headmaster

FLSA Status: Salaried-Exempt
