Responsibilities

• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plan a program of study that meets the students' needs with varied instructional techniques.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and communicate objectives to students.
• Implement district philosophy, goals, and objectives in instruction.
• Assess student progress and provide progress reports as required.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and regulations.
• Be available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside instructional day.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers; evaluate their performance.
• Maintain and improve professional competence.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees.
• Other duties as assigned.
