Job summary

Huron Valley School district is seeking a Literacy Paraeducator to support the EIS/Literacy Coach and classroom teacher at Oxbow Elementary. The role involves helping identify students at risk and keeping precise activity records in alignment with program guidelines.

Responsibilities include assisting in identifying at-risk students, attending in-service sessions, and maintaining accurate records. Strong communication and collaboration with parents and staff are essential for program success.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must meet State and Federal Program requirements for Highly Qualified (Associate's Degree, 60 hours, or ParaPro).
• Previous experience as a literacy para is preferred.
• Experience working with students who are academically at risk.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow program guidelines.
• Support EIS/Literacy Coach in identifying at-risk students.
• Assist teacher and coach with identified children as required by curriculum.
• Attend regular in-service sessions and staff meetings.
• Keep accurate records on activities with students as required by guidelines.
