The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred) and some clerical or library experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year training in library procedures or 2 years clerical experience preferred.
• GaPSC requirements: associate degree or 60 credits with C or better, or pass GACE Paraprofessional assessment.

Responsibilities

• Staffs the circulation desk and manages circulation operations: patron records, books/equipment, shelving, fines, overdue notices, class visits, phone.
• Maintains media collection: processing new books, weeding/damaging materials, shelving, inspection, repair, selection of new materials.
• Assists patrons with locating materials, recommendations, access to online resources, and student research assistance; supervises library use.
