Job summary

Responsibilities

Assist patrons with locating, checking out, and returning media materials.
Provide information and assistance to students and teachers as appropriate.
Maintain and organize library collections, including shelving and displays, and keep area clean.
Support teachers with lesson plans and classroom management.
Handle library financial records, fines, and inventory processes.
Operate and troubleshoot library technology and equipment; train students and staff as needed.
Collaborate with teachers to promote reading programs and literacy initiatives while following copyright laws.
Conduct workshops to facilitate effective use of library resources.
Monitor library operations in the absence of the Library Media Specialist.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
