The position involves operating the POS system, managing cash and lunch accounts, supervising student helpers, and promoting meals within the school community, with involvement in menu planning and school events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Past experience in service industry serving the public, cash handling experience
• Working knowledge of basic computer applications
• National School Lunch Program experience
• Member ASFSA, WSFSA

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, friendly, efficient and responsible meal service to students and staff.
• Operate Point of Sale system, handle tickets, cash, and lunch accounts according to procedures.
• Maintain a sanitary, clean and attractive kitchen and displays; report repairs as needed.
• Schedule serving times with the principal and secretary; supervise student helpers as assigned.
• Promote school meals through advertising and promotions in the school; attend contracted meetings.
