Job summary

Colorado Springs School District 11 seeks an Elementary Kitchen Manager at Columbia ES to oversee breakfast, lunch, a la carte, and catering service, ensuring food safety, quality and timely meal delivery. You will supervise kitchen staff and student helpers, collaborate with the school principal and area manager, manage inventory and costs, and ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.

This .94 FTE, non-exempt position with 173 days per year starts immediately, with pay aligned to the ESP

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in food preparation in a school system preferred.
• ServSafe Certification must be obtained within 89 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct final food preparation according to menu and specifications and ensure quality and timely service.
• Direct serving line operations; assign duties to assistants and supervise student helpers.
• Oversee kitchen and lunchroom cleanup and sanitation of utensils and facilities.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

One year of experience in food preparation in a school system

ServSafe Certification required within eighty-nine (89) calendar days of hire
