Job summary

Douglas County School District’s Cougar Run Elementary is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food prep, staff supervision, inventory control, and regulatory compliance. This role focuses on safe, efficient meal service and strong community relations within the school.

The position requires leadership, training, HACCP practices, and the ability to manage production reports and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations, production, and staff supervision.
• Maintain production reports and inventory to meet budget and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate USDA/State standards training and ensure staff completes required hours.
• Manage food costs, procurement, and vendor relations while ensuring accuracy of records.
• Responder to parent/staff inquiries and resolve issues promptly and discreetly.
• Train and develop kitchen staff; lead HACCP and safety training for all personnel.
