Job summary

Elmwood Village Charter School is seeking an Integrated Co-Teacher (Special Education) to join our Buffalo teams. You will partner with a General Education teacher to implement ICT, deliver specialized instruction, and support students with IEPs in inclusive settings.

You will manage IEPs, track progress, and use data-driven planning while collaborating with families and related service providers to ensure high expectations and equitable outcomes in a fast-paced urban school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (SWD).
• Experience in urban education or diverse student populations is valued.
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Co-plan and deliver instruction with General Education teachers using ICT models.
• Provide direct, specially designed instruction for students with IEPs.
• Serve as primary IEP case manager and monitor goals and progress.
• Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and supports.
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture with high expectations.
• Communicate with families, service providers, and administrators to coordinate supports.
• Ensure compliance with NYSED regulations and IDEA mandates.
