Job summary

KIPP NYC Public Schools is seeking a Special Education (ICT) Teacher for an elementary inclusion classroom in New York City. This full-time role involves co-teaching with a general education teacher, planning lessons, and delivering instruction that supports all learners.

The ideal candidate will have NYS Special Education certification or strong eligibility, at least two years of teaching experience preferred, and a commitment to a mission-driven school culture focused on college readiness.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing a rigorous college preparatory curriculum aligned with Common Core standards.
• Bringing joy and hope to the classroom.
• Committing to constant professional and personal growth through reflection, feedback, and collaboration.
• Constantly assessing student progress, communicating results to families and colleagues, and adjusting instruction accordingly.
• Providing individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance
