Job summary

YES Prep Public Schools in Houston seeks an Elementary Instructional Coach to support novice Pre-K–5 teachers across campuses. You will model instructional leadership, deliver on-site coaching, and develop professional learning aligned with our Teaching Excellence program.

You will travel to campuses daily (75% field work), collaborate with campus leaders, and help teachers meet certification milestones while accelerating student achievement. This is a 12-month role with immediate start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• Minimum 3 years of exemplary elementary teaching experience.
• A valid Texas Teaching Certificate or equivalent in an elementary certification area.
• Ability to work outside normal hours and weekends (minimum 1 Saturday a month).
• Willingness to travel daily to assigned campuses and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coach novice elementary teachers (Pre-K–5) using evidence-based practices.
• Conduct in-person observations and provide development feedback.
• Develop and deliver on-campus coaching and professional learning.
• Align coaching with YES Prep Instructional strategy and curricula.
• Support certification deadlines and prep with teachers and coordinators.
• Collaborate with campus leaders to tailor coaching packages for cohorts.
