Qualifications

• Level I, II or III education requirements for instructional assistant roles.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing and mathematics instruction.
• Meet required physical examination and demonstrate effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups reinforcing instruction and track progress.
• Participate as a team member with teachers and parents to support students.
• Assist in administering tests, score results and record information per IEP.
• Monitor student behavior and report progress to teachers and staff.
• Perform clerical duties and help prepare instructional materials and supplies.
• Set up classrooms, displays and audio-visual equipment for lessons.
• Support inclusive, safe learning environments and student independence.

Education

Level I: High School diploma or GED

Level II: 48 college credit hours or Associate's degree
