Responsibilities

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Assists in devising strategies to reinforce material based on students' needs.
• Operates and cares for classroom equipment used for instruction.
• Helps students master instructional materials assigned by the teacher.
• Distributes and collects workbooks, papers and other materials for instruction.
• Guides independent study, enrichment and remedial work set by the teacher.
• Supervises students during drills, assemblies, recess and other activities.
• Reads to students and participates in verbal communication with students.
