Job summary

Gresham-Barlow School District 10J is seeking a temporary Grade 1 teacher for Hall Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is a 1.00 FTE contractual role with prorated salary based on days and start/end dates.

The ideal candidate will hold an Oregon teaching license with Elementary Multiple Subjects PK-12 endorsement, possess a current First Aid Card, and be prepared to deliver high-quality instruction across core subjects, while maintaining a safe and engaging classroom

Qualifications

• Must hold State of Oregon Teaching License with Elementary Multiple Subjects PK-12 endorsement.
• Current First Aid Card.
• Eligible for specialty stipend if multilingual in specified languages.

Responsibilities

• Teach reading, language arts, social studies, math, science, art, music, physical education and health.
• Develop lesson plans and materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Monitor and document student progress and assessments.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Collaborate with staff and supervise educational assistants as needed.
• Maintain records and ensure safe, positive learning environments.
