Job summary

Farwell Area Schools is seeking a compassionate and organized Parent and Family Liaison to join our team. This role supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth while strengthening partnerships between the school and families.

The selected candidate will coordinate family outreach, attendance support, and connections to community resources, plan engagement events, and maintain records to monitor progress and plan supports including 504 Plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in education related field required.
• Experience working with children and families required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Family Outreach & Communication: serve as the primary contact for families and communicate through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to encourage engagement.
• Attendance & Student Support: orient families to school expectations, schedules, routines, and supports; promote attendance and address barriers.
• Community Resource Connection: identify and connect families to school and community resources (food pantries, health services, mental health counseling).
• Event Planning & Engagement: organize family engagement events aligned with the School Improvement Plan; promote participation in conferences and events.
• Data & Documentation: maintain accurate records of family interactions, interventions, attendance, and engagement outcomes.
• Student Success Plan/504 Creation/Monitoring: co-develop, implement, and monitor student success plans and 504 Plans with families.
• Collaboration: coordinate with teachers, social workers, counselors, and administrators to support students.
