Job summary

Muskegon Public Schools seeks an Elementary ENCORE (Specials) Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year. Assignment spans Oakview and Glenside Elementary, with supervision by the building principal.

Start conditions reflect MDE credential requirements and endorsements. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate, or equivalent enrollment with ZG endorsement and program prerequisites.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE.

Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE OR; Bachelor’s Degree and enrollment in a state-approved program leading to teacher certification as required by MDE with the following endorsement(s): ZG.

Preferred

Previous classroom teaching experience in a comparable district.

• Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Starting range $53,887-$78,454.
