Job summary

Muskegon ISD is seeking an Elementary ENCORE (Specials) Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year at Oakview and Glenside Elementary. You will report to the building principal and join a daily schedule of specials across two campuses.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. ZG endorsement and LQ Art Endorsement are preferred; prior classroom experience is welcome. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience under the MPS schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE.
• State teaching certification (Michigan) or enrollment in a state-approved program leading to teacher certification with endorsement ZG.

• Friday: Career Readiness, Glenside, Glenside

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE OR; Bachelor’s Degree and enrollment in a state-approved program leading to teacher certification as required by MDE with the following endorsement(s): ZG.

Preferred

• Previous classroom teaching experience in a comparable district.
• LQ Art Endorsement

Salary/Benefits

• Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Starting range $53,887-$78,454.
