Springfield Public Schools in Western Massachusetts seeks an experienced elementary teacher to deliver instruction for grades 1–6. You will plan engaging lessons, assess student progress, and communicate with families to support growth and achievement.

The district emphasizes equity, ongoing professional development, and collaboration with specialists to meet diverse learner needs. A valid MA license (1–6) is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with appropriate license required.
• Master’s degree with license preferred or expected within 5 years.
• Massachusetts Elementary license (1–6) required for the role.

Responsabilidades

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
• Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interest, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of district curriculum goals and communicates clear objectives to students.
• Maintains accurate, complete records as required by law and district policy.
• Assesses student progress regularly and communicates with parents as needed.
