Job summary

Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District seeks an Elementary General Education Associate to provide flexible, building-wide support for students, teachers, and staff in grades K–4. The role covers instructional assistance, supervision, classroom operations, and smooth student transitions to maintain a safe and welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work effectively with elementary-age students.
• Strong communication and professional interaction with students, staff, families, and community members.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and classroom support to teachers as directed.
• Assist individual students or small groups with activities and learning tasks.
• Reinforce academic skills and support positive work habits and organization.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and during transitions.
• Assist with office and administrative tasks as needed.
• Support with building operations, safety, and district procedures.
