Job summary

Maureen Joy Charter School is seeking an Elementary Exceptional Children’s Teacher Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with IEPs in inclusive settings and partners with EC and general educators to implement accommodations and modifications.

You will monitor progress, collect data, support daily living skills, and help maintain a positive learning environment. This is a 10-month salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Supports students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Strong communication with staff, parents, and students.
• Collaborates with EC and general education teams to apply accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Support individual or small groups of students per IEPs and track progress.
• Provide direct support for academic and social-emotional needs and daily living activities.
• Implement behavior support plans and collect progress data.
• Monitor student progress through assessments and work samples.
• Collaborate with EC, ML, related services, and general education teammates to meet student needs.
• Maintain clean, safe, and supportive learning environments.
