Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs for students with disabilities, following goals outlined by the EC Teacher.
• Help deliver instruction in various subjects, adapting materials to meet diverse needs.
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment and promote respectful behavior.
• Support students with learning activities, providing one-on-one or small group assistance.
• Observe and document student performance and behavior, providing feedback to the EC Teacher.
• Collaborate with EC Teacher, general education teachers, and support staff for cohesive student learning.
• Encourage social interactions and friendships among students.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials, resources, and equipment.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians regarding progress and concerns.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the implementation of IEPs for students with disabilities, following specific goals and objectives outlined by the EC Teacher.
• Help the EC Teacher with delivering instruction in various subjects, adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, promoting respectful behavior and encouraging student engagement.
• Support students in participating in learning activities, providing one-on-one or small group assistance as needed.
• Observe and document student performance and behavior, providing feedback to the EC Teacher regarding individual student progress.
• Work closely with the EC Teacher, general education teachers, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
• Encourage social interactions among students, helping them build friendships and navigate social situations within the classroom and school environment.
• Assist in preparing and organizing instructional materials, resources, and equipment for classroom activities.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
