Job summary

DeKalb County Central United School District is seeking a Dean of Students for James R. Watson Elementary in Auburn, IN. The role centers on leadership, student and family services, and behavior support within an elementary setting.

The Dean will collaborate with staff, supervise classified employees, and participate in RTI/MTSS/PBIS activities, while coordinating community relations and after-hours activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required or preferred.
• Three to five years of teaching experience and/or admin internship training.
• Knowledge of public education goals, philosophy, and legal aspects.

Responsibilities

• Serve on the leadership team within the elementary school.
• Plan, develop, and conduct staff development and training programs.
• Coordinate family and student services and resources as needed.
• Act as Case Conference Coordinator and provide behavior interventions under RTI/MTSS/PBIS.
• Lead and monitor Anti-Bullying efforts and attendance/behavior data.
