As an Elementary Daily Substitute, you will enable children to pursue their education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.

How You Will Impact Education

• Review plans and schedule with the principal, supervisor, and/or designated teacher.
• Teach lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
• Report and document the day's activities and provide feedback as requested.
• Follow all school and CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures.
• Consult with the principal or supervisor before initiating any lesson not specified in the plans.

Student Management

• Maintain routines and procedures of the school and classrooms.
• Oversee pupil behavior and maintain appropriate conduct throughout the school day.

School/Community Relations

• Maintain good relations with faculty and staff.
• Handle information about students and staff confidentially.

Required Qualifications And Skills

• Enthusiasm and commitment to the job and mission.
• Ability to work with staff and relate to individuals at all levels.
• Time Management skills.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Effective communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal).
