CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Elementary Café Assistant Manager for the Food & Nutrition program. This part-time role oversees cashiering, meal service operations, and HACCP compliance while supporting the food service manager.

The position requires a high school diploma, a Food Handler's Certificate, and experience handling money. It offers a 9-month calendar and duties in the school kitchen setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler's Certificate.
• Experience handling money preferred.
• Operate a computerized cash register and make change accurately.
• Keep accurate records and perform mathematical calculations.
• Communicate with parents and students about the food service program.
• Be able to fill in manager duties when the kitchen manager is absent.
• Know and follow policies, regulations, and rules.

Responsibilities

• Collect and account for prepayment and real-time transactions of student meals.
• Accurately perform cashiering duties and end-of-day procedures.
• Prepare, stock and maintain the serving line area and assist in food prep and cleanup.
• Identify reimbursable meals and guide customers to meet federal guidelines.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, dishwashers, warmers, and coolers.
• Set up serving line with proper equipment and safety measures.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and dispose of garbage daily.
• Assist in HACCP procedures including temperature and storage logs.
