We are seeking a dedicated paraeducator to join Onalaska Elementary as a full-time team member. You will support teachers in implementing IEPs/BIPs and assist with behavior management to promote a positive learning environment. This role emphasizes collaboration, student development, and safe, inclusive classrooms.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience with children with behavioral or special needs, and strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and staff.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in education or related field preferred.
• Experience with children, especially those with behavioral or special needs, is desirable.
• Strong understanding of child development and behavioral management techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
• Ability to stay calm and solve problems in challenging situations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and educational technology use.
• Commitment to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Assist teachers with IEPs and BIPs for students with behavioral challenges.
• Monitor classroom behavior during transitions and provide guidance as needed.
