Job summary

Bristol Public Schools is seeking a Behavior Teaching Assistant to support attendance, behavior, and the learning environment at Greene-Hills Elementary School (K-5).

The role partners with administrators, counselors, and the SRBI/PPT team to promote student growth, early intervention, and a positive climate. The assistant helps with de-escalation strategies and communicates student information to staff and families with professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CT certification preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and communicate attendance and behavior information to staff.
• Support administrators in attendance and behavior matters.
• Assist in de-escalation and with SRBI/PPT conferences.
• Collaborate with school psychologist and social worker.
• Maintain a positive school climate and professional relationships.
