Qualifications

• Kansas Teaching license, School Counseling License, or Social Work license.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral leadership and staff development focused on evidence-based behavioral practices.
• Models evidence-based behavior supports while working directly with students.
• Coaches and collaborates with staff and administrators on behavior supports for individual students.
• Identifies resources for students and staff and fosters program development.
• Collects and analyzes behavioral data to identify strategies for positive changes.
• Collaborates with Child Study Team members and classroom teachers in problem-solving processes.
• Identifies behavioral escalation and implements de-escalation strategies.
• Aims to minimize exclusionary discipline by targeted student interventions for high-need cases.
• Monitors staff fidelity to Behavior Intervention Plans and observes implementation quality.
