Job summary

Tri-Town School Union Steward Elementary School - Topsfield, MA is seeking a Behavior Specialist to collaborate with school teams on behavior plans for elementary students. You will design interventions, collect and analyze progress data, and support staff with data-driven decisions to improve student outcomes.

The role requires ABA training, crisis prevention certification, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with data entry in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education or related field.
• Experience with elementary children with autism and social/emotional/behavioral needs.
• Formal training in Applied Behavior Analysis and intervention strategies.
• Current in-depth training/certification in Crisis Prevention and Intervention.
• Good organization and communication skills; proficiency with Excel for data entry and graphing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write behavior intervention plans with team input and specify data collection methods.
• Collect, record and analyze data across multiple points; assist with FBAs.
• Model strategies for staff and parents to implement behavior plans and social skills.
• Provide feedback on interventions to staff and families; adjust BIPs as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and apply safe, non-harmful de-escalation techniques.
