Job summary

New Fairfield Public Schools is seeking a BCBA substitute for New Fairfield Elementary in New Fairfield, CT. The position is a long-term substitute role starting on or about December 14 and ending around March 20.

The BCBA will design and monitor behavior plans, conduct assessments, and support staff and families. Responsibilities include data-analysis, progress recommendations, and coaching teachers, with potential supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians.

Qualifications

• Current BCBA certification is required.
• Connecticut Comprehensive Special Education certification (CT 065, 165, or 265) preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, data-analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans for students.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Design and monitor discrete trial instruction and data-driven progress.
• Provide consultation, coaching, and professional development to teachers, paraeducators, administrators, parents/guardians, and families.
• Participate in PPTs and interagency meetings; may supervise Registered Behavior Technicians.
