Job summary

The Birth-Grade 5 Elementary School Assistant Principal is responsible for supporting the principal and collaborating with a three-administrator team to ensure a high-quality educational experience for all students from birth through 5th grade.

This role will focus on student and staff support, curriculum implementation, RTI systems, behavior management, professional development, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field is required.
• Valid state certification as a school administrator is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience in early childhood or elementary education is preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and RTI implementation is expected.
• Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, families, and community members; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with principal and dean of students on vision, goals, and strategic plan.
• Coordinate with grant leaders to implement Title I and community grants actions.
• Oversee district curriculum, instruction, and assessment for early childhood through 5th grade.
• Coordinate RTI processes with progress monitoring and data analysis.
• Design and deliver high-quality, job-embedded professional development for staff.
• Foster relationships with students, families, and community partners to support student success.
• Oversee behavior management systems and school-wide positive supports.
• Analyze achievement, attendance, and discipline data to drive improvement.
• Use data to inform classroom instruction and day-to-day decisions.
• Assist with scheduling, operations, and supervision as needed.
• Perform duties assigned by the principal/central office administrators.
