Job summary

Orchard View Schools is seeking an ASD Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year at Orchard View Cardinal Elementary School. The full-time role reports to the Building Principal and requires a Michigan teaching certificate with SE endorsement in Autism.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with SE endorsement in Autism.
• Must meet state requirements with K-12 endorsement in SE/SM/SA.
• Must meet No Child Left Behind “highly qualified” criteria.

Responsibilities

• Follow district and state curricula and assessment requirements.
• Maintain satisfactory performance ratings in evaluations.
• Develop and implement interdisciplinary curricula and instructional strategies.
• Participate in building/district committees to shape curricular guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff, including co-teaching and team delivery of services.
• Prepare and submit IEPs, transition plans, and related documentation.
• Utilize technology to enhance instruction and writing development.
• Support writing processes and higher-order thinking skills regularly.
