Qualifications

• Active Michigan Special Education (SPED) license is required.
• Experience working in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classrooms strongly preferred.
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and strategies to diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication skills for partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary learners in an ASD classroom.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with staff and parents.
• Employ differentiated instructional methods tailored to individual student needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports.
• Engage with paraprofessional staff for classroom support as needed.
• Collaborate virtually for meetings and interviews throughout hiring.
