Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an elementary self-contained adaptive special education teacher for a contract assignment that shapes young learners' educational journeys in a supportive environment.

You will deliver engaging, adaptive instruction, develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with families, specialists, and paraprofessionals. The district requires fingerprinting for onboarding, and you’ll join a team committed to a positive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Must hold Virginia Special Education Teacher License (VA SPED).
• Experience in elementary special education, especially self-contained adaptive settings, preferred.
• Ability to develop individualized instructional strategies for diverse learners.
• Strong collaboration with paraprofessionals and support staff.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, adaptive curriculum to elementary students in a self-contained classroom.
• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals.
