Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in Music, Music Education, or related field (preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
• Interpersonal/Communication skills including listening, problem solving, and de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging afterschool group lessons for elementary school choir students.
• Teach beginning and intermediate choir techniques.
• Prepare students for informal performances, showcases, or concerts as part of the program.
• Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Communicate regularly with the program coordinator, school staff, and families regarding student progress and upcoming events.
• Ensure proper care, storage, and handling of instruments and classroom materials.
• Uphold school and program policies regarding student safety and behavior.
