Job summary

Ashland School District is seeking an Afterschool Choir Teacher for Bellview Elementary School to provide high-quality group instruction to elementary students in an afterschool program. The teacher will foster a positive, engaging environment that builds musical skills, teamwork, and a love of learning.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, teaching beginning and intermediate choir techniques, and preparing students for informal performances.

Qualifications

• Education/experience in music, music education, or related field.
• Ability to model vocal techniques and guide beginners.
• Experience teaching elementary or middle school students is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging afterschool group choir lessons for elementary students.
• Teach beginning and intermediate choir techniques.
• Prepare students for informal performances, showcases, or concerts.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners.
• Communicate progress with program coordinator and families.
