Job summary

West Ridge Elementary, part of 27J Schools in the Denver metro area, seeks an Academic & Behavioral Interventionist for elementary and pre-K with a focus on data-driven supports in ELA and Math. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position.

The role collaborates with MTSS teams, classroom teachers and counselors to close gaps, reinforce positive behavior, and implement UIP goals across grade levels.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License/Authorization.
• Ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
• Ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.
• Willingness to learn continuously and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and individual academic interventions in reading and math aligned to data.
• Deliver proactive behavioral interventions and supports across classrooms and common areas.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers during PLC time to identify students needing Tier 2/3 support.
• Align interventions with core instruction and Building Thinking Classrooms practices.
• Maintain timely documentation of intervention plans, progress data and behavior trends.
• Partner with counselors, special education staff, and administration for wraparound services.
• Build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff reflecting high expectations.
• Assist in monitoring schoolwide behavior systems for consistency.
