Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 90 college credits from an accredited college or university.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan teacher’s certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills.
• Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement programs.
• Assists professionals with administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Assists in preparing and reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to student needs.
• Maintains records documenting student learning and performance.
• Supports classroom behavioral management to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Supervises non-instructional areas and assists with field trips and related duties.
• Assists with parent contact to foster involvement.
