Job summary

Marriott Chattanooga is seeking a Banquet Server to support event setups and service at meetings, banquets, and catering events. You will set up rooms, assist with tables, greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexibility for early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and an Alcohol Server Permit.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a server is preferred.
• Alcohol Server Permit is required to serve alcohol at event functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet/meeting room with specified items and prepare for service.
• Assist with event closing and packing away tables, decorations, and place settings.
• Greet guests and help them find seats; provide attentive guest service.
• Convey special instructions to kitchen and bar; serve food and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas; restock as needed.
• Direct guests to services and facilities; support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
