Job summary

Marriott Chattanooga is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead banquet servers, bartenders, and housemen with calm authority. You will set up banquet rooms, oversee guest service, and ensure compliance with alcohol service and safety policies.

The role requires supervising staff during events, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining a clean, ready-for-visit space. A high school diploma and banquet/server experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Banquet operations experience preferred.
• Server experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, silverware, linens, and glassware for events.
• Resolves guest issues using critical thinking and problem solving.
• Ensure bartenders verify guest ages for alcohol service.
• Assist servers with buffet setup and food order sequence.
• Circulate the floor to support servers during meal service.
