Job summary

MyHR, LLC. in Sun Valley, California, seeks an experienced Aerospace Plater / Electroplating Technician with hands-on expertise in Hard Chrome, TDC, Cadmium, Copper, and Electroless Nickel plating to support FAA-regulated aerospace components.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle electroplating operations: preparation, masking, fixturing, plating, and teardown.
• Execute Hard Chrome, TDC, Cadmium, Copper, and Electroless Nickel plating processes.
• NDT support and process interface - MT/MPI and PT/FPI.
• Prepare parts via cleaning, surface prep, and Aluminum-Oxide blasting.
• Design and build anodes, racks, fixtures, and tooling for complex geometries.
• Conduct ID and OD plating; set up and operate plating tanks, rectifiers, and equipment.
• Monitor plating parameters (temperature, current density, time, chemistry).
• Masking and demasking including plugs, tapes, lacquers, and selective plating.
• Stress-relief and hydrogen-embrittlement relief baking; post-process teardown.
• Complete travelers, work orders, and process documentation accurately.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas (5S/safety).
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to meet aerospace requirements.

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Plater / Electroplating Technician with hands‑on expertise in Hard Chrome, Thin Dense Chrome (TDC), Cadmium, Copper, and Electroless Nickel plating. This role is critical to supporting FAA‑regulated aerospace components and high‑reliability industrial parts.

Key Responsibilities (Electroplating / Metal Finishing)

• Perform full‑cycle electroplating operations: preparation, masking, fixturing, plating, and teardown
• Execute Hard Chrome, Thin Dense Chrome (TDC), Cadmium, Copper, and Electroless Nickel plating processes
• Nondestructive Testing (NDT) support and process interface - Magnetic Particle (MT/MPI) and Liquid Penetrant (PT/FPI)
• Prepare parts via cleaning, surface prep, and precision surface preparation and Aluminum‑Oxide Blasting
• Design and build anodes, racks, fixtures, and tooling for complex geometries
• Conduct ID (inner diameter) and OD (outer diameter) plating
• Set up and operate plating tanks, rectifiers, and process equipment
• Monitor and control plating parameters (temperature, current density, time, chemistry)
• Masking and Demasking - including plugs, tapes, lacquers, and complex selective‑plating boundaries
• Stress‑Relief and Hydrogen‑Embrittlement Relief Baking
• Perform assembly, fixturing, and post‑process teardown
• Complete travelers, work orders, and process documentation accurately
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas (5S / safety standards)
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to meet strict aerospace requirements
