Job summary

MyHR, LLC. in Sun Valley, California, is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to own aerospace electroplating and metal-finishing processes on the production floor.

You will translate drawings and specifications into production instructions, drive continuous improvement, and lead root-cause investigations to prevent defects and scrap in critical components.

Direct experience with hard chrome plating in aerospace or defense environments is preferred; Nadcap/AS9100 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct process engineering in aerospace electroplating.
• Hands-on knowledge of hard chrome plating in aerospace settings.
• Ability to interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve aerospace electroplating and related processes.
• Develop technique sheets, routings, process plans, and work instructions for aerospace components.
• Translate customer drawings, POs and specs into production requirements and records.
• Lead root-cause investigations on adhesion, thickness variation, and hydrogen embrittlement risk.
• Support Nadcap audits and AS9100 documentation and disciplined document control.
• Train technicians and inspectors on process requirements and fundamentals.
• Improve first-pass yield, process capability, and reduce scrap.
