Job summary

MyHR is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to own aerospace electroplating and metal-finishing processes on site in California. This role involves translating drawings and specs into practical production instructions and leading root-cause investigations on the production floor.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in aerospace electroplating or chemical processing, with experience interpreting aerospace specifications and developing controlled manufacturing documentation.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct process engineering experience in aerospace electroplating or chemical processing.
• Hands-on knowledge of hard chrome plating in aerospace/defense environments.
• Experience interpreting aerospace drawings, specs, and process standards.
• Ability to develop technique sheets, routings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership and continuous improvement for hard chrome plating and related aerospace electroplating processes.
• Develop, validate and maintain technique sheets, master routings, process plans and work instructions.
• Translate customer drawings and specifications into production requirements and records.
• Lead root-cause investigations for adhesion, thickness variation, burning, pitting, porosity or hydrogen embrittlement.
• Support audits, corrective actions and document control in Nadcap/AS9100 contexts.
• Mentor and train others on process requirements and fundamentals.
