Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, is hiring an Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist for the EP Lab. This is a Full Time, day-shift role with three 12-hour shifts, training in the main hospital lab prior to the new opening in November 2026.

The EP Specialist will assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic EP procedures and device implants, provide patient care, and support didactic and clinical training.

Qualifications

• 1 year of EP/ electrophysiology experience preferred.
• Invasive procedure experience desired.
• EP lab experience preferred and implant experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic EP procedures and device implants.
• Provide patient care and manage data related to procedures.
• Support didactic and clinical training for staff.

Education

Trade School Graduate or Bachelor Degree preferred

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

BLS certification

ACLS within 90 days of hire

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring an Electrophysiology Specialist for the EP Lab. This is a Full Time, Day shift in Harrisonburg, VA! Three 12-hour shifts. This roll will be at the new opening in November 2026 but will train in the main hospital lab. Hours of the department will be 7a to 730P Monday - Friday. NO Weekends, No Call!

The Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist assists the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures and device implants. Provides patient care to all electrophysiology patients, including acquisition and reduction of all pertinent information related to their procedure. Also provides didactic and clinical training.

The Sentara RMH Heart and Vascular team is comprised of cardiologists, electrophysiologist, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, and interventional cardiologists who’ve received their education and training at some of the finest medical schools in the nation. They are committed to providing high quality heart and vascular services to our community.

Education

• Trade School Graduate or Bachelor Degree preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Certification/Licensure

• BLS required
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Registered Cardio Invasive Specialist or registry eligible required. (RCIS or RCES)

Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred
• Invasive procedure experience
• EP lab experience preferred
• Implanted Device Experience Preferred
