Job summary

LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced EP lab technologist to provide procedural support to physicians in the electrophysiology lab. As a highly skilled technologist, you will perform first-assist duties, manage venous and arterial access, and troubleshoot EP equipment and imaging systems.

You will operate fluoroscopy, prepare patients and instrumentation for procedures, and maintain strict sterile technique.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in EP lab workflows and procedures.
• Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required; RCS/RDCS/RCIS/RCES or Registered Radiologic Technologist credentials are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to physicians during EP procedures and assist as first assistant.
• Scrub in at the table and manage venous/arterial access, catheters and wires.
• Troubleshoot equipment and imaging systems; operate fluoroscopy and EP-specific devices.
• Prepare patients and equipment; maintain sterile technique and device integrity.
• Ensure competency in EP equipment operation and safety protocols.

Summary

Responsible for procedural support to physicians in the Electrophysiology (EP) lab. Technical duties include all procedures performed in the EP lab including device implants, EP studies and ablations. This position functions independently as an expert technologist in EP who is a highly competent and clinically skilled member of the patient care team.

Responsibilities

Provides technical support to the physician during procedure. Scrubs in at the table to act as a first assist with handling venous and arterial catheters and wires. Problem solves equipment and patient access issues. Operates equipment, fluoroscopy equipment, or other imaging systems. Prepares patients and equipment for procedure. The individual must be competent in proper sterile technique and in the operation and troubleshooting skills of EP specialty equipment and the x-ray system. Operates complex electrophysiology specialty equipment.
